I hate to be the bearer of bad news but we all have to get informed on recent developments in the tech world, but this is a big hit to blackberry phones, even the BB10 series are not excluded as whatsapp has announced that they will discontinue support on all series of blackberry, nokia, android running on 2.1 and others.
as some of us know already, earlier this week whatsapp celebrated it's 7 years anniversary with over 1 billion user and therefore they announced that
he following devices will no longer offer the kind of capabilities that
WhatsApp requires to expand their app’s features in the future.
- Nokia S40 series
- Blackberry devices, BB10 series are not excluded
- Nokia S60 (symbian)
- Android 2.1 and 2.2 versions
- Window phones (7.1)

The discontinuation support for these devices will deeply affect developing countries like Nigeria because most people
still uses old Nokia phone. The like of Nokia asha 200 and 203, Nokia
6100, 6200, Nokia c2 and c3 just to mention a few. I know most of us
still love our old nokia phones. WhatsApp suggests "upgrading to a newer
Android, iPhone, or Windows Phone" if you want to keep on using the
service — if not, you'll need to find another messaging service by the
end of the year before the service got discontinued.

I for one think It's a very bad move cause
Facebook bought
Whatsapp just to kill it,
as it was making Facebook obsolete. This Will Make It Stop Growing, after which Facebook will soon introduce a Whatsapp like feature to try and take its market. mark zuckerberg has already made facebook a living hell of late for we bloggers, even the
