How To Root Infinix Hot Note/Pro After Upgrading To Lollipop

Recently, Infinix rolled out its official lollipop v5.1 XUI update for Infinix Hot Note and hot note pro, the UI is so amazing and smooth, but there seems to be a fuss amongst the users and that is, "how to root the lollipop update". well am going to drop the procedures now.


HOW TO ROOT THE OFFICIAL LOLLIPOP UPDATE FOR INFINIX HOT NOTE/PRO

1. Download recovery.img for Infinix hot note x551. click here. to download
2. Extract its folder to your pc/desktop using winrar.
3. Flash it with sp flashtools.  

NB:Flash only don't format 

4. After succesful installation of recovery.img. Download this UPDATE-SuperSU- V2.46.zip and place in root of your sd card.
5. Boot into recovery mode by pressing at the same time, Volume up + Power button.
6. Select "install zip".
7. Choose from sdcard and locate UPDATE-SuperSU-V2.46.zip. which you placed at the root of your SD (no folder)
8. Click on Yes and allow it to flash.
9. After successful, reboot your device.

Done, you have now gotten root permission.

NB: Do not wipe/ format your device when in recovery mode. just flash UPDATE-SuperSU-V2.46.zip as if you are flashing a custom rom without wiping.
