How To Root And Port TWRP To Samsung Galaxy J2

Good news to samsung galaxy j2 users for you can now root and port twrp to your devices, before we go into the tutorial of today, lets take a look at a brief specs of the phone, the galaxy j2 device was released on september 2015 and it comes out of the box with android 5.1.1 lollipop, dual sim card and it is also a quad core device, it also comes with the latest gpu of mali-t720 and it is also power packed with a 1gb ram.
I ve visited lots of forums and seen and heard people talk about this device, but the only problem there seem to be is how to root this wonderful device.

How to port TWPR on samsung galaxy J2

-First you have to download and install samsung galaxy j2 drivers

-Go to settings on your samsung galaxy j2 device, click on developers option and activate usb debugging.
-After that has been done download TWRP recovery file.

-Then boot your device into download mode, to do that (power off your device, press power off+volume   down+home button simultaneously) press volume up to continue to download mode.

-While on download mode, connect your device to your PC with your usb cable and the odin application will notify you of an added message. you should see a command prompt in a blue box on the odin screen if all drivers are installed properly, but if otherwise, re-install and reboot system.

-Choose AP or PDA in odin and select the TWRP recovery file which you have downloaded, it will be in a .tar extension, also make sure that the re-partition is not ticked in odin.

-Click on start button and the process will immediately begin, after the process is finished you will notice the reset or pass message on the odin screen,after which your device will boot into recovery mode and then you reboot your device. but should incase you get stocked at boot-loop, boot into recovery and wipe cache and data.

How to root samsung galaxy j2

-Download superSU zip file.

-Move the superSU file to the internal memory of your samsung galaxy j2 device and connect your device to PC with your usb cable.

-Then you boot your device into recovery mode, for those who don't know how (Press and hold power off +volume down together).

-while in the recovery menu, select install then select the superSU file and flash immediately.

-Once the installation process is finished, go back to the recovery menu and tap on reboot.
