Last year it was rumored that the infinix hot 2 will receive an update to upgrade their devices to android 6.0 and early this year the infinix mobility kept to their promise by rolling out android 6.0 lollipop to their users..every user was happy but it turned out to be something else as the upgrade came with so many flaws and majority of people who upgraded started complaining, well today I am going to put you through a tutorial on how to downgrade your infinix hot 2 X510 to 5.1 or 5.0 lollipop, but before you begin, i advice you make a backup of your files to avoid stories that touches.

Requirements

-Download Infinix hot 2 stock rom OR better still android 5.1 lollipop rom
-Download  SP flashtool
-Download VCOM port driver

STEPS

-extract all 3 software you downloaded
-go to device manager > click action > click on add legacy software

-Under welcome to add new hardware, click next>>Click have disk>>Click on browse then navigate to your VCOM driver software, select the driver setup and click open

-Select mediatek preloader USB VCOM driver

- navigate to your SP flash tool folder

-Double click on the SP flash tool application file

-click on scatter loading and locate and click on the infinix hot 2 stock rom then select the " MT6580_Android_scatter.txt "

-then by your far upper left hand side, click on download now and change it to firmware upgrade

-after that, then switch off your device ( you must have above 60% battery juice left on your phone before attempting this) then connect your phone to your PC via USB cord.

-make sure you do not tamper with the usb cord at this point, you will notice a progress bar running below , then after like 5-10mins you should see a good mark sign just like the one in the caption below

-once the above displays, disconnect your phone from your PC and close the SP flash tool and reboot your device.

Congratulations!you have successfully downgraded your device to android 5.1 lollipop

    1. sorry for the inconvenience sir, this vcom driver works perfectly well on windows 7 but i cant say the same for windows 8, try re-downloading the vcom driver and try this;
